SOS - Hoodia Gordonii & Green Tea

Description
Hoodia Gordonii
Hoodia Gordonii is a cactus-like plant found in the Kalahari Desert, particularly in South Africa and Namibia. It has been used by the San bushman for thousands of years to stave off hunger during long hunting trips. When South African scientists were routinely testing Hoodia, they discovered the plant contained a previously unknown molecule, which has since been christened P 57.
This molecule fools the brain into thinking that the stomach is full, thus suppressing the appetite and reducing the calorie intake.
How does P.57 actually work: "There is a part of your brain, the hypothalamus. Within that mid-brain there are nerve cells that sense glucose sugar. "When you eat, blood sugar goes up because of the food, these cells start firing and now you are full. "What the Hoodia seems to contain is a molecule that is about 10,000 times as active as glucose. "It goes to the mid-brain and actually makes those nerve cells fire as if you were full. But you have not eaten. Nor do you want to."
Clinical trials: In the first animal trials for Hoodia. Rats, a species that will eat literally anything, stopped eating completely. When the first human clinical trial was conducted, a morbidly obese group of people were placed in a "phase 1 unit", a place as close to prison as it gets. All the volunteers could do all day was read papers, watch television, and eat. Half were given Hoodia, half placebo. Fifteen days later, the Hoodia group had reduced their calorie intake by 1000 a day. It was a stunning success. It is a completely natural ingredient that won’t give any nasty side effects such as the shakes or a raised heart beat unlike some slimming products.
Green Tea
Green Tea contains components called catechin polyphenols which have been proven to burn calories and block fat absorption. Catechin polyphenols also help to reduce the amount of carbohydrates used during exercise which increases endurance levels and promotes longer exercise times. Green Tea also contains caffeine which helps to boost the metabolism and aid weight loss. A recent study conducted at the University of Geneva has shown the effect of green tea extract on weight loss. It was found that the powerful antioxidants in green tea contribute in increasing metabolic rates of the body. You may be surprised to find out that the pill form of this familiar ancient Chinese leaf contains the same constituents that gives its liquid twin the miracle medicinal reputation that it has today. Yes, it’s true. Green tea pills are made from the same unfermented and minimally processed leaves as its brewed counterpart- complete with all of the powerful antioxidants found in a freshly brewed cup
Chromium Picolinate
Chromium is an essential trace mineral found in the body that can also be found in certain foods, particularly meats and shellfish.
It helps to regulate blood sugar levels in the body and reduce sugar cravings experienced by most dieters. It also plays an important role in releasing energy and plays an important role in fat and glucose metabolism.
Dr. Harry Preuss of Georgetown University Medical Center has published more than a dozen scientific papers on chromium and he believes it is one of the most beneficial supplements for blood sugar balance, muscle gain, fat loss and overall health. According to Dr. Preuss, chromium helps dieters avoid the yo-yo effect which occurs when people lose mostly muscle when they cut calories. Supplementing with chromium helps people lose fat while maintaining muscle mass.
