L Carnitine

L-Carnitine is an amino acid in the natural L form, it is a nonessential amino acid made naturally by the body and used to convert fat into energy. Some people, however, may not have enough L-carnitine because their bodies cannot make enough to be transported into the important tissues, in which case increasing these levels by supplemention is essential.

L-Carnitine has been shown to improve lean muscle strength. Maintaining muscle tissue takes four to five times more calories than maintaining fat tissue, which is important for permanent weight loss.
